Convert 72degrees into radians

Mathematics
1 answer:
kramer3 years ago

Answer:

72° = 1.25 radians

Step-by-step explanation:

As we know that,

1 degree = \frac{\pi}{180} radians

Thus, 72^{\circ} = 72\times\frac{\pi}{180}radians

⇒ 72^{\circ} =\frac{2\pi}{5}radians

⇒ 72° = 1.25 radians    {∵ Using π = 22÷ 7 or 3.14}

Both degrees and radians are used to measure the angle. They are units of angle.

Find the equation of a line through B(5,2) which is perpendicular to the line 3x+5=0. Hence find the coordinate of the foot of t
Oduvanchick [21]

Answer:

y=2, the equation of  a line which is perpendicular to the line 3x+5=0

A(-5/3,2)  the  foot of the perpendicular from B to the line

Step-by-step explanation:

d1 : 3x+5=0, so 3x=-5, x=-5/3

y=2, the equation of  a line which is perpendicular to the line 3x+5=0

A(-5/3,2)  the  foot of the perpendicular from B to the line

What is the unit rate for meters per second if a car travels 238 meters in 17 seconds?
madreJ [45]
I assume a unit rate is simply ms^-1 or whatever.

In order to determine m/s one must make the "per whatever" part equal to 1. In this case it is seconds, so we must make seconds equal to 1.

If in 17 seconds it travels 238 metres, that means in 1 second it travels 238/17m=14m

Therefore the unit rate (speed) of the car is 14m/s or 14ms^-1

\bf \textit{area of a trapezoid}\\\\
A=\cfrac{h(a+b)}{2}~~
\begin{cases}
a,b=\stackrel{bases}{parallel~sides}\\
h=height\\
---------\\
a=9.2\\
b=7.7\\
h=6.8
\end{cases}\implies A=\cfrac{6.8(9.2+7.7)}{2}
