I believe the correct answer is Bacon's Rebellion.
It was an event which happened in 1676 when lower classes rebelled against the system in which they were not being treated equally as the upper classes. This was the first rebellion of such nature and it lead to greater democracy in the States.
The United States Constitution can be changed informally. Informal amendments mean that the Constitution does not specifically list these processes as forms of amending the Constitution, but because of change in society or judicial review changed the rule of law de facto.
