Answer:

a and b

Explanation:

a works in throwing the taunt onto something else not someone else. like if someone is laughing at you point at something funny to divert their attention/energy it will not only make them leave you alone but slowly but surely they will stop laughing at people and find other things to express their energy. or it can be by complimenting them showing you have something in common and it can create a friendship. if its in a conversation you can switch the topic or make it as if the taunt is no big deal making the bully to want to switch tactics. or at a party offer to play a game or get something to not only distract the bully but the group as a whole a bully has to have the crowd interested or else it wont work.

b works because a lot of people insult, degrade, or destroy other people to get a reaction. its not just bully in school the work force and criminals such as kidnappers, abusers, and serial killers will use this tactic to takeover their victims and it gives them a sense of control and power. a lot of victims stated because they didn't give in the abuse. never letting fully get to them. showing the attacker that no matter what happens i have control.

c can work but it isn't the way to go there are so many people who insult a bully in a movie or book it looks so awesome and cool you think it gets back at the person and it does but that means they'll just keep coming after you and sooner or later a fight breaks out. however in the real world it can have consequences like loss of job, name or opportunity. don't lower your self to their level keep control of yourself is the only way to truly overcome adversity. when you lose your dignity you become just as bad as them.

d can work but 95% of the time they'll just say its a joke, its no big deal, you cant just accuse me, your week or sensitive, your making it up and some other falsehood. they will most likely use your approach as a reason to torment you even more. if you do confront someone make sure you have a support team like friends, family, lawyers, or even the police.

Why is the book 1984 important
Licemer1 [7]

Answer:

It was intended as a warning about tendencies within liberal democracies, and that is how it has been read. The postwar Sovietization of Eastern Europe produced societies right out of Orwell's pages, but American readers responded to “1984” as a book about loyalty oaths and McCarthyism.
