Answer:

The first major American opposition to British policy came in 1765 after Parliament passed the Stamp Act, a taxation measure designed to raise revenues for a standing British army in America. Under the banner of “no taxation without representation,” colonists convened the Stamp Act Congress in October 1765 to vocalize their opposition to the tax. With its enactment in November, most colonists called for a boycott of British goods, and some organized attacks on customhouses and homes of tax collectors.

Why where the russians ready to revolt in 1917?
algol13
There were many reasons. The country was in extreme poverty, there was starvation everywhere and people were dying in misery. They wanted to change the imperialistic rule and impose their own bolshevik rule. People also wanted to end their participation in the war which is one of the first things that happened after the revolution. The communists left the war before the war ended.

read the following speech by Lyndon Johnson to the National Association of broadcasters in April of 1968 to answer the question
Scilla [17]

Lyndon B Johnson understood that the public opinion had turned against the war due to its horrific portrayal/

Explanation:

Johnson understood that the public opinion had been against the Vietnam war partly because it was the first war that was so largely televised in the world and seen by the people across the country as something that the nation should not be involved in.

in this address where he says that the nation is going to get out of the war was also rife with a disappointment.

The people had understood finally the atrocity of a needless war and had turned against the agenda of the bureaucracy.
