He intended to come back to Virginia colony and luckily he was elected to be the president of Virginia colony wherein he made the whole place fit for survival by asking settlers to plant trees and build houses. They were intended to search gold but John smith understood that it was not possible unless they established a permanent settlement inn Virginia colony.
It effected their culture and government as a whole. The American influence after WW2 caused the government to be democratic. The culture was now more relaxed and a little nicer to women. Japan started to make a lot of technology now that they weren't living like they were post ww2.
In the 50's-90's, Japan's economy was skyrocketing. They were selling computers, cameras, gaming systems and just about anything with tech as fast as they could and better than anyone else.
