The point of view of <em>Radical Republicans</em> on giving African Americans the right to vote was they agreed to provide the same freedom that white people had and outlawed the black people codes.

These concepts were stated in the <em>1886 Civil Rights Act</em>, as well as the protection for citizens from state violations, the right to get a fair treatment in court and that every citizen must be treated equally.
