The event which is described by the Simile bone of the fish which most likely dead reveals its bones from underneath it's flesh. Logan in a combination of imgagery and simile manages to give the reader a vivid account of what the predated fish looks like having being pulled from the waters along with the hawk whose talons are hooked to its body.
The hawk probably wanted to get food but ended up getting sucked into the waters along with the dead fish in its' talons. See lines 15-29.
Explanation:
The waters refer to life.
The predated fish is Man and the hawk are lifes challenges. Both are insperable. Like the waters, there is no depth to the kind of challenges we can face in life.
