Answer:

Merchants and tradesmen traveled in large caravans. They would have many guards with them. Traveling in a big group like a caravan helped in defending from bandits. Camels were popular animals for transport because much of the road was through dry and harsh land.

Explanation:

The Silk Road consisted of a succession of trails followed by caravans through Central Asia, about 6,400 km in length. ... Merchants with their caravans were shipping goods back and forth from one trade center to the other. In addition to silk, major commodities traded included gold, jade, tea, and spices.

Compare and Contrast the portrayal of imperialism in the political cartoon and Kipling poem of the same name.
Katyanochek1 [597]

Hello. The image to which the question refers is attached below :

Answer and Explanation:

In Kiping's poem we can see that he is positive in relation to imperialism and thinks that it is right for a country so distant and so different from Europeans to be dominated and enslaved, such as Asian countries for example. This poem is called "The white man's burden" and shows how immerialism was a burden that white men had to bear for the good of humanity.

The cartoon supports this idea by showing how the white man is responsible for carrying the other races to victory. The cartoon shows the white man sacrificing himself and causing the other races to win because of his effort alone, as if the cartoons claimed that without the white man, the other races were doomed to ostracism.
