Amorites are people who live in Mesopotamia or Syria who were found in the time period of third millennium and were members of semi nomadic tribe and was a dominant tribe.

There were some actions which were banned by the amorites and were banned by the bible also. Some of these actions were crimes like abuse whose penalty was usually death. Self-stimulation was also such an act and adultery was also considered to be a crime.
