SOLUTION:

Alternate angles on paralell lines.

This means:

2x + 10° = 62°

2x = 62 - 10

2x = 52

x = 52 / 2

x = 26

Sorry, I tried to answer this but I only got this far. I'm not exactly sure about the ? < x < ? as my answer didn't give an answer with > or <. Unless there are different numbers which you can put for your answer based on what ( x ) is equal to, I'm not sure what the answer is & I doubt that they would allow for multiple answers.

Answer:

a) 8 groups

b) 5 boys per group and 7 girls per group

Step-by-step explanation:

School trip has 40 boys and 56 girls.

We solve the above question using the Greatest Common Factor Method

We find the factors of 40 and 56

The factors of 40 are: 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 20, 40

The factors of 56 are: 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 14, 28, 56

Then the greatest common factor is 8.

a) What is the greatest number of groups that can be formed?

The greatest number of groups that can be formed is 8 groups

b)How many boys and how many girls will be in each group?

For boys.

The number of boys in each group is calculated as:
