Atherosclerosis predisposes to a number of processes that are factors in myocardial ischemia. These processes include1. Hemorrha
77julia77 [94]

Answer: Thrombus Formation

Explanation:

Atherosclerosis is a chronic, progressive disease in which the plaques starts building in the walls of artery. These plaques are the deposition of the cholesterol and other lipids, calcium and inflammatory cells known as macrophages.

Once these substances starts depositing in the artery it can lead to thrombus formation which is not cured by itself.

The Atherosclerosis is the predisposes to the thrombus formation which can cause myocardial ischemia.

What are Interphase, prophase I, metaphase I, anaphase I, telophase I, prophase Il, metaphase II, anaphase II, telophase Il in m
iragen [17]

The stages of meiosis 1 and meiosis 2 is discussed below:

What is meiosis?

Eukaryotic cells (plants, animals, and fungi) reproduce sexually through a process called meiosis. Chromosome reduction is the process by which haploid cells are created from diploid cells, which are cells with two complete and identical sets of chromosomes.

The number of chromosomes in each cell is halved during meiosis I, which starts with one diploid parent cell and ends with two haploid daughter cells.

Maintaining the number of chromosomes in each cell, meiosis II begins with two haploid parent cells and finishes with four haploid daughter cells. Before meiosis II, homologous pairs of cells divide into chromosomes while in meiosis I.

These chromosomes are further divided into sister chromatids during meiosis II. Meiosis II does not include genetic material crossing across or recombining between chromosomal pairs, whereas meiosis I do.

This happen in the prophase contains five subphases and is lengthy and complex during meiosis I. The equatorial plane in meiosis II is aligned 90 degrees differently than in meiosis.

Therefore interphase1, prophase 1, metaphase 1, anaphase, and telophase 1 are the stages of meiosis 1 and prophase Il, metaphase II, anaphase II, and telophase Il in meiosis 2.

Vegetations are associated with which of the following disease processes?A. endocarditisB. plagueC. septicemiaD. tularemiaE. tox
mariarad [96]

Answer: A. endocarditis

Explanation:

Endocarditis is the inflammatory process of the endocardium, especially that located in the heart valves. There are several factors causing endocarditis, the most frequent and lethal being endocarditis caused by infectious agents. The most common mechanism is endothelial injury due to blood flow turbulence, be the one generated by a defective valve (rheumatic, bicuspid aortic valve, dysfunctional valve prosthesis), or by any congenital anomaly that causes flow turbulence (interventricular communication, obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, aortic coarctation).

The most common site of injury, and therefore the most frequent site of vegetation formation, is at the closing line of a valve, usually on the atrial surface of the atrioventricular valves or on the ventricular surface of the ventriculoarterial valves. With the endothelial lesion occurs the formation of a sterile thrombus, which can be colonized by bacteria that multiply there, turning the thrombus into vegetation. These vegetations are avascularized, making the treatment of endocarditis difficult due to the low access of antibiotics to microorganisms.

True or False. Every somatic cell in your body has the same copy of DNA Explain your reasoning Answer:
mihalych1998 [28]
True
All somatic cells have same genes but the genes whose product is not needed are turned off. Some genes are expressed constitutively and some genes are turned off and on depending upon the requirement of proteins.
