Answer:

The Bill of Rights is a list of rights granted to citizens of a country or state. Many countries have a bill of rights today. In the United States, it is the first ten amendments to their constitution. In Canada, the Bill of Rights grants citizens rights under the federal law and not in the constitution; however, the more powerful document actually in the constitution is the Canadian Charter of Human Rights, which applies to laws at all levels (municipal, provincial, federal).

Jim spends three years in graduate school training to become a clinical social worker. His first job out of graduate school is,
sukhopar [10]

Answer:    B. Jim's need to justify the effort he put into his training has altered his attitude to be more favourable toward the job

Explanation:  A rational analysis would probably lead Jim to find out that it is better not to do a job that he does not love, despite his time spent studying for that job, but also, maybe that same analysis would lead him to realise that it is better to do something than do it again study, invest new time for learning, etc.

Jim simply saw all the facts, realised that he had spent years learning for the job and now wants to justify the effort he has put into it. Therefore, he changed his attitude towards the job.

Which of the following statements concerning sentencing is false? A. Defendants who remain in custody awaiting trial are more li
goldfiish [28.3K]

Answer:

D. Male offenders often have the mitigating circumstance of being responsible for the day-to-day care of children.

Explanation:

Option A is a correct statement because defendants who remain in custody are those who are not granted bail because of the gravity of their offence, and hence they are more likely to be sentenced to prison.

Option B is also a correct statement because elderly offenders are less likely to repeat their offense or engage in another crime as compared to younger offenders, hence they are more likely to receive probation or shorter incarceration

Option C is a correct statement because male offenders have shown difficulties than female offenders in being reformed.

The only wrong statement is D, as male offenders do not often have the mitigating circumstance of being responsible for day-to-day care of children, except for very few cases, rather female offenders are the ones with such responsibility.

Lerok [7]

It illustrates a key element of the scientific attitude - humility.

Curiosity, skepticism, and humility characterize scientific attitudes. Every science is guided by curiosity, a desire to explore and understand without deceiving or being deceived. To get close to real answers rather than fantasy-based answers, a scientific mindset is required. Putting a scientific mindset into action necessitates not only curiosity and skepticism, but also humility. Humility is defined as being aware of one's own vulnerability to errors and being open to surprises and new perspectives. Because it requires us to recognize the flaws in our own ideas, the scientific attitude necessitates open-minded humility.

1. In a paragraph each, describe the following theories: Ivan Pavlov and classical conditioning, B. F. Skinner and operant condi
Andreyy89

Learning theories explain how information is received, processed, and retained by students while they are learning.

Russian physiologist Pavlov first identified classical conditioning, which involves learning through association. Simply said, two stimuli are combined to cause a person or animal to learn a new learned response.

Operant conditioning is a form of associative learning in which the strength of a behavior is altered by reward or punishment.

Albert Bandura's social learning theory places a strong emphasis on the value of seeing, modeling, and copying other people's behaviors, attitudes, and emotional responses.

Heat up the stove, let it cool to a point where it would still sting a child's tender fingertips but not burn them, and then allow the child to touch it to teach them to avoid touching hot surfaces.

Place the youngster on the toilet and reward them if they excrete.

Encourage the kid to pay attention to how you behave at the table. Make them aware of your good manners, and they'll start to imitate you.
