Answer:

Hence, the amount of wheat gathered in field 2 is  250 thousands pounds more than the field 1.

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the smaller field=  16 acres

Area of the bigger field = 5/4 x (area of smaller field)

= \frac{5}{4} \times 16 = 20

So,the area of the larger field = 20 acres

<u>SMALLER FIELD: </u>

Now, the barn of wheat on smaller field per acre = 75/2 thousands pounds

So, total wheat gathered in 16 acres  = 75/2 thousands pounds  ( 16 acres)

= 600 thousands pounds

⇒Total wheat gathered in the smaller field  = 600 thousands pounds

<u>LARGER FIELD: </u>

Now, the barn of wheat on larger field per acre = \frac{17}{15} \times\frac{75}{2} thousand pounds

= 42.5 thousands pounds

So, total wheat gathered in 20 acres  = 20 x  ( 42.5 thousands pounds)

= 850 thousands pounds

⇒Total wheat gathered in the larger field  = 850 thousands pounds

So, the difference in Wheat production

= Total production in larger field -   Total wheat production in smaller field

= 850 thousands pounds - 600 thousands pounds

= 250 thousands pounds

Hence, the amount of wheat gathered in field 2 is  250 thousands pounds more than the field 1.

Product of two consecutive integers is 29 more than their sum . Find the integers
geniusboy [140]
Product of two consecutive integers is:

n(n+1)=n²+n

Sum of two consecutive integers is:

n+(n+1)=n+n+1=2n+1

What you have proclaimed:

n²+n=2n+1+29

n²+n=2n+30

n²+n-2n-30=0

n²-n-30=0

(n-6)(n+5)=0

Therefore n=6 or n=-5.

When n=6,

n+1=7

First answer: 6 and 7.

-----------------------------

When n=-5,

n+1=-4

Second answer: -4 and -5.
