History

In an ideal world all human beings will be treated equally, regardless of their gender or ethnicity. In fact, article 2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states: “Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.” However in reality this is not practiced. Before it  discuss the challenges I will look at the background of both cultural and religious groups rights and women’s rights. Will Kymlicka (1995) lays down two different kinds of group rights. The first is minority rights that protects the interests of their members and secondly rights which impose restrictions on its members, such as some cultural groups that set prohibitions and regulations on women.

Nutka1998 [239]

Answer:

Under the Treaty of Paris, Cuba became a U.S. protectorate from 1898–1902; the U.S. gained a position of economic and political dominance over the island, which persisted after it became formally independent in 1902. Following the Cuban Revolution of 1959, bilateral relations deteriorated substantially.

Which of the following was included in Patrick Henry's Virginia Resolves? Colonists could be taxed only by colonial assemblies.
Verizon [17]

The correct answer is: Colonists could be taxed only by colonial assemblies.

The Virginia Resolves were a response by the House of Burgesses to the proclamation of the Stamp Act of 1765 by the Parliament of Great Britain, which imposed direct taxes on the American Colonies. They were a series of resolutions claiming that since in the Parliament of Great Britain there were no colonial representatives, therefore they have no right of taxation, because it was stipulated by law that only the persons chosen by the colonists could represent them and know what taxes people were able to bear.
