By escaping from his worldly troubles, Mohammed would worship and communicate with God in this cave known as Mount Hira. Mohammed received the revelation of the Quran in this cave which he then spread to his followers.

It is important to note that during this time Mohammed received a lot of hate from civilians in his area as Muhammed tried to convince them that there is only one God; the civilians did not believe them because they had assumed the idols were the only true gods. This was not the case however, the leaders in the region had kept idols to be able to gain money since idols were kept for the pilgrims.
