The decline of the Maurya Dynasty was rather rapid after the death of Ashoka/Asoka. One obvious reason for it was the succession of weak kings. Another immediate cause was the partition of the Empire into two. Had not the partition taken place, the Greek invasions could have been held back giving a chance to the Mauryas to re-establish some degree of their previous power. Mauryan Empire began to decline after the death of Ashoka in 232 BC. The last king was Brihadratha was assassinated by his general Pushyamitra Shunga who was a Brahmin.

Thomas Jefferson and James Madison had similar economic beliefs. Which of the following was their interpretation of what was mos
AleksAgata [21]
A and D. Jefferson was a member of the Democratic-Republican party, which was sort of the opposite of the federalists. He was all about agrarian society, which means farming out the wazoo, and he wanted things to stay small. He figured that farming was the epitome of a good american virtue - self sufficient, hard working - and he was therefore big on telling the government to keep their hands off of things (think of the whiskey rebellion). He thought that if we engaged in foreign trade that our money would flow out of the US and not be replenished enough coming back in. In fact, most of hte founding fathers were big on isolationism (sticking to ourselves and leaving foreign affairs alone), probably because they'd just gone through a huge costly war affair with England and didn't want to deal with that again (think of Geo Washington's farewell speech)

What was a consequence of the religeous movment
Juliette [100K]

Answer:

Explanation:

Challenging the contemporary belief that emotional damage invariably results from new religious movement participation, this study shows that membership in and exit from a world-rejecting the new religious movement may initiate the development of increased reflexivity and a personal sense of self for some former members.

I hope this helped.

At “show” trials during the Great Purge, suspects often confessed to crimes they could not have possibly committed. admitted to
aleksley [76]
The answer that best completes the statement above is the first option. During the Great Purge at "Show" Trials, the suspects are often asked to admit to crimes which they could not have possibly done. When we say show trial, this is the kind of judgment done wherein it is influenced by the opinion of the public rather than giving justice itself.
