Use the equation a2+b2=c2 the 2 is an exponent. the a and b are the side lengths. so plug everything in and you get 1)2+1)2=c2 and your answer would get you to 2=c2 then square root 2 or your answer would be 2 with the square root sign

Answer:

The second one (2) is a lie

Step-by-step explanation:

The quantities are all proportional, with 4 donuts costing one dollar being consistant. With this, we can multiply the amount of donuts to 40, and through what we know, we can find that the donuts will cost 10 dollars. This leaves only (2) left.

Sonja [21]

Answer:

∠ XZY ≈ 23.6°

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the sine ratio in the right triangle

sin Z = \frac{opposite}{hypotenuse} = \frac{XY}{YZ} = \frac{6}{15}, thus

Z = sin^{-1}(\frac{6}{15}) ≈ 23.6° ( to 1 dec. place )

Which of the following angle pairs best describes angles 6 and 4 in the graphic below?
andriy [413]
Answer: Choice C) Same-side interior angles

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Angle 4 and angle 6 are on the same side, in this case the right hand side of the transversal line (line t). In addition, they are on the interior of the "train tracks" horizontal  lines (line a and line b). Combine this and this is why the two angles are same-side interior angles

Side note: if line a is parallel to line b, then angle 4 and angle 6 add to 180 degrees. At this point, they are considered supplementary.
