A cereal box has the following dimensions: length = 19 cm, width = 3 cm, height = 27 cm. If 2 cubic centimeters of space in the

box holds 30 pieces of cereal, how many pieces of cereal would you expect in the box (assuming there is no header space at the top and there is no settling at the bottom). When you write your answer, do not put any commas and do not use any decimals.

Answer:

There are 23085 pieces of cereal in the box.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given dimension of the box;

Length = 19 cm

Width = 3 cm

Height = 27 cm

For finding the capacity of the box we should find out the volume of the box.

Volume of box = length\times width\times height

Volume of box = 19\times3\times27=1539\ cm^3

Now, according to question;

2\ cm^3 of space in the box holds 30 pieces of cereal.

To find out the number of cereal in the box we use the unitary method.

∵ 2\ cm^3 of space in the box holds 30 pieces

∴ 1\ cm^3  of space in the box = \frac{30}{2}

∴1539\ cm^3 of space in the box = \frac{30}{2}\times1539=15\times1539= 23085.

Hence there are 23085 pieces of cereal in the box.

10 points <br> Can someone please do number 4
Andrei [34K]

This question wants to know the domain.  For example: (2,4) 2 is the domain and 4 is the range.

Then, they want you to solve by finding X the range when x =-1

x-4/x^2+5x-36

Put -1 everytime you see x

-1-4/-1^2+5(-1)-36

-5/1+(-6)-36

-5/-41 This is the range.

One number is 3 less than twice another. If their sum is 39 find the numbers
DedPeter [7]

Answer:

The numbers are 14 and 25

Step-by-step explanation:

Let one of the numbers be x. The second number we are told is 3 less than twice x. The second number will thus be;

2x - 3

The sum of the numbers is thus;

x + (2x - 3) = 3x - 3

But the sum of the numbers is said to be 39, therefore;

3x - 3 = 39

3x = 42

x = 14

The second number is thus;

2(14) - 3 = 28 - 3 = 25
