Arab spring was more political than economic in nature. People were dissatisfied with the government, its corruption and the general system, but less so with the state of the economy.

Muslims countries such as Tunisia, Egypt, Sirya, Morocco, and Libya took the streets in the Spring of 2011 to protest against their governments, demanding political changes that allowed people more freedom and better living opportunities. For instance, the protest in Egypt was so big that they could end with the dictator that governed Egypt for years, Hosni Mubarak. So the issue that was of only a little concern as people demonstrated against their governments during the "Arab Spring" was the minimum wage.
