When you’re referring to the actual color of your eyes, you don’t need to use los before eyes. But let’s say, you get something in you eye that makes it a little red, or you cry a lot, or laugh a lot and someone asked you what happens with your eyes... you say, tengo los ojos rojos

Explanation:

In this exercise, we practice the use of the Spanish verb estar. In Spanish, there are two different verbs for which there is one equal in English: TO BE.

ser/estar = to be

The conjugation of the present tense of the verb estar:

1. yo estoy 1. nosotros/as estamos

2. tú estás 2. vosotros/as estáis

3. él/ella/usted está 3. ellos/as/ustedes están

The basic use of this verb is to indicate the location of the people/things.

The sentences 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13 show the examples of the location of the people (where they are in the moment of speaking).

The another usage is of a our health condition (how we feel at the moment of speaking).

9. How are you?
