"Whatever you wanted of me I have obeyed. The Great Father sent me word that whatever he had against me in the past had been for

given and thrown aside, and I have accepted his promises and came in. And he told me not to step aside from the white man's path, and I am doing my best to travel in that path. I sit here and look around me now, and I see my people starving. We want cattle to butcher. That is the way you live, and we want to live the same way."
Sitting Bull, 1883

The poster above is an example of American World War II propaganda. What is the message the poster is trying to convey? What ima
elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]

Answer:

The poster conveys the message of how young, talented and patriotic American boys should join the Navy and help support their country.

Explanation:

By using the imagine of a well-built man, confidentiality performing his study, the message is clearly showing the Navy as a 'macho' organisation that will enlist only the best.

The colours are prominent and the poster does use cartoonish exaggeration to convey the message.

At the time, the majority of men who joined the navy were 18-19 year olds. Many of them coming from rural areas without a lot of opportunities. For them, the poster and the simple message, did only seem like good employment opportunities but invoked a sense of purpose in the young minds.

In my opinion, the poster is highly effective.
