Answer: The Grand canyon is the structure formed due to the down-cutting of the rocks by the river Colorado. The rocks are very steep here about forty distinct layers of rocks are found there. In order to obtain the oldest fossil from here, one must look for the deepest point where the oldest rocks are present. This oldest rocks are the source of getting the oldest fossils. Various fossils are found there such as, shark tooth, brachiopods and ammonites.

The similarities between micro-evolution and macro-evolution is that in both the cases, organisms undergoes evolution and they are able to adapt themselves to the changing environmental condition.

Glucokinase and hexokinase in glycolysis
Delicious77 [7]

Answer:

Glucokinase or Hexokinase is a enzyme used at the first step of glycolysis.

Explanation:

 • Glucokinase is a Isoenzyme(enzymes which differs in the sequence of amino acids but catalyses the same reaction) of Hexokinase .
 • Glucokinase (hexokinase D) is present only in liver and pancreas whereas hexokinase is present in all cells.
 • In first step of glycolysis i.e formation of glucose-6-phosphate from glucose is completed with the help of hexokinase. In this step a ATP molecule is consumed i.e ATP is converted to ADP

Result: Glucokinase and hexokinase are used in the first step of glycolysis.

List 3 factors that can speed up the rate of chemical reactions
zysi [14]

Answer:

 1. Temperature
 2. Greater Surface Area
 3. Catalysts

Explanation:

Temperature

 • An increase in temperature typically increases the rate of reaction. An increase in temperature will raise the average kinetic energy of the reactant molecules. Therefore, a greater proportion of molecules will have the minimum energy necessary for an effective collision (Figure. 17.5 “Temperature and Reaction Rate”).

Greater Surface Area

 • The rate of a chemical reaction can be raised by increasing the surface area of a solid reactant. ... more particles are exposed to the other reactant. there are more collisions. the rate of reaction increases.

Catalysts

 • A catalyst is a substance that can be added to a reaction to increase the reaction rate without getting consumed in the process. Catalysts typically speed up a reaction by reducing the activation energy or changing the reaction mechanism.

Hope this help!!!

What is the preferred method for assessing heart rate during chest compressions?
Dmitry [639]
An electronic cardiac monitor is the preferred method for assessing heart rate during chest compressions. While a person is performing chest compressions on a patient, he or she is hooked up to the electronic cardiac monitor so that the doctor can see exactly how fast the patient's heart is pumping blood. Cardiac monitoring is the best method do assess this.
