The thesis statement should be changed to include all notes. A thesis statement is intended to give an overview of what is going to be developed, in this case apparently the lives of run away slaves, and its consequences. This thesis statement does not prepare the reader for the information that follows. You could also discard notes 3 and 4, since they do not add much to the overall message, but it depends on how you develop the essay, since they might also be included

Quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis are two ways of how a researcher conducts his research. Quantitative analysis is a data performed in counts and numbers. It is countable information using mathematical calculation and statistical analysis. Thus, no wonder that quantitative analysis includes statistics in it. A quantitative study is usually conducted and performed to answer questions such as “how many?”, “how much?”, “How often?”, and other questions that request numbers and statistics.

There are five common types of quantitative analysis as listed below:

1. Counter: for example is the number of people who download and use an application from the A p p S t o r e. it is count equated with entities.  

2. Measurement of physical objects: for example is the measurement of the size of the cubicle. It is calculating any physical things.  

3. Sensory calculation: for example is the conversion of electromagnetic information to numerical data done by a digital camera. It is the measurement of a parameter to create a constant source of information.  

4. Projection of data: for example is the prediction made by a marketer about the increase in sales after the product launching. It is a future projection data that is counted using algorithms and mathematical analysis tools.  

5. Quantification of qualitative entities: for example is an online survey that requires the subjects or participants to share the likelihood of recommendations from scale 0 until 10.
