Answer:

Estuaries are of ecological importance because they are a habitat for a number of aquatic animals. Estuaries provide a protected environment to fishes and other organisms where they can safely reproduce. As many river streams flow into an estuary, hence an estuary has abundance of foods and nutrients for the aquatic animals that inhabit here. Estuaries also help the growth of those fishes which are used by humans in abundance hence raising the economy.
