Fixed verse forms are a kind of template or formula that poetry can be composed in. The opposite of Fixed verse is Free verse poetry, which by design has little or no pre-established guidelines.

Hope this helps. :)

What do the parables in the monk's tale tell us about the intentions of the monk
Art [367]

Answer:

The parables in the monk's tale tell us about the intentions of the monk that the Monk is lost in his own preaching or speech.

Explanation:

“Parable” is a short fiction story that illustrates or teaches a moral or religious value associated with it.

‘The Monk’s tale’ is a series of tragic stories which teach that one should not blindly trust prosperity as one’s fate keep changing. Chaucer’s intent is to make fun of parables and people who told them. This is because monk is only telling tragic stories to people. He is himself lost in his preaching to other people.

What rhetorical features in lines 81-93 of the Declaration of Sentiments support Stanton's purpose in writing?
irakobra [83]

Lines 81-93 of Staton's Statement of Sentiments utilize characteristics of ethos, which is rhetoric with appeal to ethics.

The Declaration of Sentiments was considered the first document that listed the injustices suffered by women, such as the impediment of the right to vote, the salary they received, the purchase of property, the occupation of important positions in companies, participation in the Religious Ministry and divorce. This letter had a strong ethical appeal and marks the official beginning of the Women's Liberation Movement, which seeks to end the old social roles of women, built in the light of patriarchy. The main purpose of this movement and discussed strongly during the Convention was the right to vote for women, won in the United States in 1920

What effect does William Carlos Williams achieve by breaking up the words wheel barrow and rain water and placing them in separa
Vesna [10]

The correct alternative is "B. The separate stanzas force readers to stop and read each word carefully, which reflects the theme that all elements must be considered individually to appreciate their true value."

This choice turns this considerably simple poem into a more meaningful and turn the words into well-expressed feelings.

Read the excerpt from the story Westward Adventures:
guajiro [1.7K]

The detail from the story that contributes to the development of Beth's character is: "Sally could see her lip quivering and the tears filling her eyes." (Option C).

What is character development?

Character development is the art of imbuing a character with personality, complexity, and motivations that move them forward in a story.

Character design may also be defined as how a character changes over the course of a story.

Hence is is correct to state that The detail from the story that contributes to the development of Beth's character is: "Sally could see her lip quivering and the tears filling her eyes.

This is confirmed in the next paragraph which indicates that both characters have both missed their father but Beth seems to have missed him the most and was trying to be brave.
