Is it the hydrosphere or lithosphere

3 0

Answer:

It is the interaction between the lithosphere and the hydrosphere

Explanation:

Lithosphere represents the crustal and a small portion of the upper mantle whereas hydrosphere is the region that contains all the water bodies on earth, in the form of ice, liquid, and vapor.

The ocean is rich in numerous marine species. These species when they die their hard parts are deposited at the bottom of the ocean. These include the shells of brachiopods, gastropods, and cephalopods. Near the ocean floor, the pressure is extremely high and oxygen is relatively low in comparison to the amount that is present in the atmosphere. So it provides these shells the necessary conditions for preservation. With the further deposition of sediments over them, they get buried and undergoes compaction due to the overlying sediments. In due course of time, it forms a sedimentary rock such as shale, sandstone, and limestone and is rich in these fossilized shells.

Thus the entire process takes place due to the interaction between the lithosphere and the hydrosphere.

Describe the phases of the cell cycle. be sure to include the name of each phase and what is occurring within the cell during ea
julsineya [31]

Actively dividing eukaryote cells pass through a series of stages known collectively as the cell cycle: two gap phases (G1 and G2); an S (for synthesis) phase, in which the genetic material is duplicated; and an M phase, in which mitosis partitions the genetic material and the cell divides.

G1 phase. Metabolic changes prepare the cell for division. At a certain point - the restriction point - the cell is committed to division and moves into the S phase.S phase. DNA synthesis replicates the genetic material. Each chromosome now consists of two sister chromatids.G2 phase. Metabolic changes assemble the cytoplasmic materials necessary for mitosis and cytokinesis.M phase. A nuclear division (mitosis) followed by a cell division (cytokinesis).

The period between mitotic divisions - that is, G1, S and G2 - is known as interphase.

Mitosis is a form of eukaryotic cell division that produces two daughter cells with the same genetic component as the parent cell. Chromosomes replicated during the S phase are divided in such a way as to ensure that each daughter cell receives a copy of every chromosome. In actively dividing animal cells, the whole process takes about one hour.

What is the most appropriate method to prepare a sample of cheek cells for PCR?
Dmitry [639]

Answer:

Extraction of genomic DNA

Explanation:

Resuspend the cells(any number), smaller numbers also work, in 10-20 ul of TE buffer or milli Q water. boil for 5-10 min in a waterbath, quick chill, short spin. use the supernatant as a template for PCR.

If cells are very less, u can directly add cells to the PCR reaction without enzyme, boil for 5-10 min in a waterbath, let it cool slowly, short spin. Add enzyme to the supernatant and start the reaction at extension step followed by normal PCR reaction steps.
