The following statements is accurate: B. Nonfiction doesn't depend on a plot.

Further explanation

“Fiction” refers to literature created from the imagination. Mysteries, science fiction, romance, fantasy, chick lit, crime thrillers are all fiction genres. In general, fiction refers to plot, settings, and characters created from the imagination. There are three main types of fiction: the short story, the novella and the novel.

“Nonfiction” refers to literature based in fact. It is the broadest category of literature. While nonfiction refers to factual stories focused on actual events and people. Therefore nonfiction doesn't depend on a plot. Plot is events arranged that furthers the development and undestanding of characters, and which moves a book towards the resolution of its central conflict.

There are four types of nonfiction: Narrative writing (this type of nonfiction tells a true story about a person, event, or place), expository writing (the purpose of this type of nonfiction writing is to explain or inform a reader about a certain topic), persuasive writing ( intends to convince readers to believe in an idea or opinion), descriptive writing (to describe a person, place or thing in such a way that a picture is formed in the reader's mind).

IRINA_888 [86]
Hello!

Your questions is incomplete. The complete poem is:

An Arab Shepherd Is Searching For His Goat On Mount Zion

An Arab shepherd is searching for his goat on Mount Zion / and on the opposite hill I am searching for my little boy. / An Arab shepherd and a Jewish father / both in their temporary failure. / Our two voices met above / the Sultan’s Pool in the valley between us. / Neither of us wants the boy or the goat / to get caught in the wheels / of the “Chad Gadya” machine. / Afterward we found them among the bushes, / and our voices came back inside us / laughing and crying. / Searching for a goat or for a child has always been / the beginning of a new religion in these mountains.

-

The whole text has cultural references. Mount Zion, by its use and historical significance, the "sultan's swimming pool", being a specific reference of an Arab culture and the Chad Gaya, for being a musical style. The Arab shepherd, however, enters more into the perspective of common sense, and could be seen, from an alternative perspective, as an emptiness of cultural meaning.

What does the word trap refer to in this excerpt from Beowulf?
Nitella [24]
The correct answer is D. The word "trap" refers to pride. In these lines, Beowulf is being warned. He is told to "beward of that trap," and "Do not give way to pride." Beowulf is warned that his strength will not last forever; ultimately, he will grow weak and old, or he will be injured. Either way, his strength is not something he will always have -- therefore, he must not become so proud that he forgets he is human.

Rudiy27
America avoided the potential dangers that Bradbury seems to fear by staying true to the rights in the Constitution. America doesn't fear people who have knowledge and can question ideology, if anything they encourage it. And that is how America avoided some of the potential dangers in Fahrenhiet 451.
