Thanks to its abundance, durability and the ease with which it can be extracted and cut, limestone has always served as an important building material. The Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, for example, was built entirely of limestone. It was also very popular in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, and was used in various buildings and monuments in Europe and the USA.  Limestone is also used to build roads, in the manufacture of cement and to extract iron from its ore.

Therefore limestone is the most appropriate for construction.
