The given statement is false.

It is correct that Cheetah went through a bottleneck in the last ice age, however, it is not correct that it leads to more robust and stronger species. Thus, the statement is false. Genetic bottleneck or population bottleneck refers to a sharp decline in the population size because of environmental incidents like earthquakes, famines, disease, floods, droughts, or fires.

Such incidents can minimize the gene pool variation of a population, thus, a confined population exhibiting narrower genetic diversity passes the genes to the coming offspring generations via sexual reproduction. Thus, bottlenecks are usually not good for species as they decline the genetic variation in the species, thus, making them less adaptable for the new conditions.

For the reaction C6H 1206C02+ H208 428 g of C6 H 1206 is consumed producing a 3.1 M solution of CO2 what is the volume of CO2 pr
timofeeve [1]
I think it’s m(C6H12O6) = 856 g

M(C6H12O6) = 12*6+1*12+16*6 = 180 g/mol

n(C6H12O6) = m/M = 856 g / 180 g/mol = 4.756 mol

n(CO2) = 6*4.756 = 28.536 mol

M(CO2) = 12+16*2 = 44 g/mol

m(CO2) = n*M = 28.536mol*44g/mol = 1255.584 g

What is the mechanism of natural selection?
borishaifa [10]
The answer is D. The natural selection is a theory which illustrates the gradual process of evolution in the population due to the change of environment. The key point is the mutation (variation) exists in the population before the environment changing. For C, if the environment does not change, though the adaptation is useful to environment, it will not be selected. Because the organisms without the adaptation will not die.
