Did the US join the League of Nations following WWI?
uysha [10]

The U.S did not join the League of Nations following WWI. Even the the President of the United States at that time, Woodrow Wilson, was enthusiastic about the organization, they didn't officially join it. The reason why they didn't join it was because of isolationists in congress, in other words, people that didn't agree with what other people are interested in. Because of the war and all of the fatal deaths of Americans, people didn't want the U.S to be affiliated with Europe in any way.

What are the characteristics of capitalism? Select all that apply.
zlopas [31]
Two, Three, and Four.
Two because under capitalism, all industries are owned by private individuals.
Three because under capitalism, people are able to either work for someone else, or start their own business.
Four because under capitalism, supply and demand are the core principle of capitalism.
One and Five are both more of communism. Karl Marx came up with the communist manifesto, and wages being set by the government is a very authoritarian and leftist ideal.

AleksandrR [38]

The correct answer is D) land, rivers, fish, animals, precious metals, and mud.

Civilizations that emerged in Mesopotamia relied on the location's natural and mineral resources for survival, including land, rivers, fish, animals, precious metals, and mud.

We are referring to the oldest civilization known to man, the Sumerians. This ancient civilization settled in the territory of the Middle East, specifically between the Euphrates and Tigris River, in modern-day Iraq. They benefited so much from the flooding of the rivers because it made the soil so fertile to grow crops. The Sumerians established important city-states such as Kish, Ur, Lagash, and Uruk.
