Answer:

13 trucks & 52 dolls

Step-by-step explanation:

Let number of trucks sold be t

and

number of dolls sold be d

Since dolls sold were 4 TIMES of trucks, we can write our 1st equation as:

d = 4t

Also, trucks cost 17 and dolls cost 24 and together they sold 1469, so we can write 2nd equation as:

17t + 24d = 1469

Putting 1st equation in 2nd one, we get an equation in "t" and lets solve for t:

17t + 24(4t) = 1469

17t +96t = 1469

113t = 1469

t = 1469/113 = 13

So, 13 trucks were sold

And, now we know d = 4t, so d = 4(13) = 52

So, 52 dolls were sold

What is the next fraction in this sequence 3/10, 1/4, 1/5, 3/20,
uranmaximum [27]
1/10 is the next fraction in the sequence. If you multiply the numerator and denominator by a common factor to give each fraction a denominator of 20, the pattern goes 6/20, 5/20, 4/20, 3/20. The next term would be 2/20 which equals 1/10.

Select the correct difference. -3z 5 - (-7z 5) (A)-10z5 (B)-4z5 (C)4z5 (D)4z
kogti [31]

Answer:

Correct choice is (C). 4z^5.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given expression is -3z^5-\left(-7z^5\right).

Now we need to simplify that then select the correct difference value from the given choices.

-3z^5-\left(-7z^5\right)

negative times negative is positive

=-3z^5+7z^5

Combine like terms because variable z has same exponent.

=(-3+7)z^5

=4z^5

Hence correct choice is (C). 4z^5.

Find cos(2* angle ABC) 100 POINTS
Simora [160]

Answer:

3/5

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to use the trig identity that cos(2A) = cos²A - sin²A, where A is an angle. In this case, A is ∠ABC. Essentially, we want to find cos∠ABC and sin∠ABC to solve this problem.

Cosine is adjacent ÷ hypotenuse. Here, the adjacent side of ∠ABC is side BC, which is 4 units. The hypotenuse is 2√5. So, cos∠ABC = 4/2√5 = 2/√5.

Sine is opposite ÷ hypotenuse. Here, the opposite side of ∠ABC is side AC, which is 2 units. The hypotenuse is still 2√5. So sin∠ABC = 2/2√5 = 1/√5.

Now, cos²∠ABC = (cos∠ABC)² = (2/√5)² = 4/5.

sin²∠ABC = (sin∠ABC)² = (1/√5)² = 1/5

Then cos(2∠ABC) = 4/5 - 1/5 = 3/5.
