This of course a somewhat subjective question,but most would agree that it was George Washington who most help the patriots;cause since he was a highly charismatic leader leader that gained the respect and attention of practically the entire colonial population   <span />

Republican party stood against the extension of slavery during the 19th century. In 2016 presidential election the party's nomination was captured by Donald Trump.

Trump surprised everyone as he won the electoral college with around three million fewer popular votes than Hilary Clinton. The parties/leaders may change, but despite of all these differences they give importance to their nation and their citizens.
