Answer: Part A = \dfrac{2}{3}

Part B = 12

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Total number of classmate surveyed = 18

Proportion of people said yes ,they prefer granola bars over muffins = 0.66666667

Since 6 is repeating after decimal , so we can write this value as 0.\overline{6}

Let x= 0.666....     (1)

Multiply 10 on both sides , we get

10x=6.666...       (2)

Subtract (1) from (2), we get

9x=6

Divide 9 on both sides , we get

x=\dfrac{2}{3}

Thus , the required fraction in Part A = \dfrac{2}{3}

The number of students prefer granola bars over muffins will be :-

\dfrac{2}{3}\times18=12

Hence, 12 students prefer granola bars over muffins.

Thus , the required answer for Part b = 12

Look at the problem and work shown. In which line was an error made and what should have been done differently? Six less than 4
natita [175]
"Six less"=-6

"four times a number"=4n

"is 50"= =50

4n-6=50 add 6 to both sides

4n=56  divide both sides by 4

n=14

So, wrong on very first line...line one should have been: 4n-6=50

A rectangular park is 70 meters wide and 120 meters long. Give the length and width of another rectangular park that has the sam
Ira Lisetskai [31]

Answer:

1 m by 189 m

Step-by-step explanation:

The perimeter is 2(70+120)=380.

The area is (70)(120)=8400.

If we let the park have a width of 1 meter and a length of 189 meters, then the area will be 189 square meters, which is smaller than 8400 square meters, as required.
