Simplifying
4+-7=8t+3

Reorder the Terms
-7+4=8t+3

Reorder The terms again
-7+4t=3+8t

Solving for the variable T

Move all terms containing t to the left, and all other terms to the right

Add -8t to each side of the equation

-7+4t+-8t=3+8t+-8t

Combine like terms

4t+-8t=-4t

7+-4t=3+8t+-8t

Combine like terms

8t+-8t=0

-7+-4t=3+0
-7+-4t=3

Add 7 to each side of the equation

-7+7+-4t=3+7

Combine like terms

0+-4t=3+7
-4t=3+7

Combine like terms 3+7=10

-4t+10

Divide each side by 4
t= -2.5

Simplifying
t= -25

Okay, so we have
4t - 7 = 8t + 3
We Need to Simplify.
Add 7 to both sides to begin.
4t = 8t + 3 + 7
Now, Combine 7 + 3
4t = 8t + 10
Combine the ts
-4t = 10
Divide.
-4t/-4 = 1t = t
t = 10/-4
10/-4 = -2 and 2/4
-2 and 2/4 = -2.5
t = -2.5

The data above can be modeled by the function f(x) = 0.0425x^2 + 0.07381x - 0.49107 . Using this equation, predict the skid dist
nataly862011 [7]

Answer:

<em>f(50) = 109.44943 feet</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Modeling</u>

The model of a situation where the skid distance f is measured against the car speed x can be expressed as:

f(x) = 0.0425x^2 + 0.07381x - 0.49107

Using this equation, we can predict the skid distance for a car that is driving at x=50 mph by substituting in the equation of the model:

f(50) = 0.0425*50^2 + 0.07381*50 - 0.49107

f(50) = 106.25 + 3.6905 - 0.49107

f(50) = 109.44943 feet

Jean runs 6 mi and then rides 24 mi on her bicycle in a biathlon. She rides 7 mph faster than she rns. If the total time for her
harkovskaia [24]

Answer:

Average running speed: 8.52 mph

Average biking speed: 15.52 mph

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for velocity is v= d/t where d is distance and t is time.

We know that Jean runs a distance of 6 miles and rides a distance of 24 miles.

We know that if she runs at a x mph, then she rides at x + 7 mph.

From the formula of distance, we get that t = d/v

Therefore, substituting these values in the formula for time we get:

2.25 = \frac{6}{x} +\frac{24}{x+7} =\frac{6(x+7)+24x}{(x)(x+7)} =\frac{6x+42+24x}{x (x+7)} \\2.25=\frac{30x+42}{(x)(x+7)} \\2.25x(x+7)=30x +42\\2.25x^2+15.75x=30x+42\\2.25x^2-14.25x-42= 0\\

If we apply the general formula to this quadratic equation we get:

x= -2.19

x=8.52

Jean cannot have an average negative running speed. Therefore our answer is x= 8.52

And her average running speed is 8.52 mph and her average speed riding her bicycle is 15.52 mph

Which term is the perfect square of 3x4 ?
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]
A perfect square is the product when a number is multiplied to itself. Hence,the square of (3x4) is (3 x 4 x 3 x 4). We can rearrange this and have (3 x 3) x (4 x 4) which gives you 9 x 16. We now have the perfect square of (3x4) re-written as (9 x 16). Thus, the answer is: 9 x 16.
