The area of this rectangle will be 3 $*$ 4 = 12 m², considering it's given dimensions are 3 by 4. Therefore the area of this white region will be 10 + 12 = 22 m²

b ) Now this striped region will be the remaining area, or the area of the white region subtracted from the area of the outer rectangle.
