The first would be y= -3/2x=3
 and the second would be y=-x+2

heres the work:

3x-2y=6
-2y=-3x+6
divide everything by -2

x+y=2
y=-x+2

(y=mx+b) is your formula

I need help on number 12

Angle ACD and angle CAD are angles that add to 90 degrees (60+30 = 90) and they are non-adjacent. They do not share a common vertex. So this is why the two angles fit the description for number 12.

In contrast, two adjacent complementary angles are angle FDG and angle GDE. They add to 90 degrees and share the common vertex point D. They also share a common segment DG.

What is the area of a right triangle with a base of 4 feet and a height of 8 feet?
Mrac [35]

Answer:

16 feet squared

Step-by-step explanation:

We'll use the formula for finding the area of a triangle:

area = \frac{1}{2} of the base times the height

First, we'll find \frac{1}{2} of the base. Our base is 4 feet, and half of 4 feet is 2 feet. Now, we have to multiply that by the height. The height is 8 feet, so we have to multiply 8 feet by 2 feet. 8 times 2 is 16, and feet times feet gives us feet squared. So we have 16 feet squared as our final answer.

Hopefully that was helpful! Let me know if you have any more questions.

The governor of state A earns $48,980 more than the governor of state B. If the total of their salaries is $289,660, find the
OLga [1]

Answer:

Governor of State B: $120,340; Governor of State A: $169,320

Step-by-step explanation:

For the sake of this problem, let's set the salary of State B's governor as x. That would make the salary of State A's governor equal to x+48980. The following lists out how to solve this problem.

Governor B salary + Governor A salary = $48980

x+x+48980=289660

2x+48980=289660

2x=240680

x=120340

120340+48980=169320
