You can work out the concentration of H+ ions (denoted as [H+]) easily on a calculator if you know the pH, which you do. The easiest way to work out [H+] is to do 10^{-pH}. In your case, the maths here would be 10^{-3.8}, which gets you an answer of 1.58x10^{-4}, or 0.000158. For 6.2 it would be 10^{-6.2}, which gives you 6.31x10^{7}, or 0.00000063. As you can see, the concentration of H+ ions is greater in pH 3.8.

To put it simply, the [H+] decreases the higher up the pH scale you go, and increases as you go lower, but now you know the maths to work it out for yourself too.

How many total ATP are created with Cellular Respiration? What are the processes in which ATP is generated and how many ATP are
Setler79 [48]

Answer:

Explanation:

There is a total of 38 ATP produced. ATP is produced from 3 different steps. The first step is Glycolysis which produces 2 net ATP. Next, is the KREBS cycle (aka the Citric acid cycle) which also produces 2 ATP. The final step is the Electron Transport Chain, which produces 34 ATP.

Anabolic reactions require an input of energy, while catabolic reactions release energy. When talking about the metabolism, ATP is released through catabolic reactions. To grow and build muscles, for example, anabolic reactions are need (because you need food to gain muscle mass).

Anaerobic respiration means that NO OXYGEN is present while aerobic respiration takes place in the presence of oxygen. It is important to note that ONLY GLYCOLYSIS can occur during anaerobic respiration. Also, fermentation occurs during anaerobic respiration. There are two types of fermentation; lactic acid and "alcoholic". basically, lactic acid fermentation produces, well, lactic acid (which is used in yogurt and it's also the cramps you feel while running the mile in gym). Alcoholic fermentation is what is used to make alcohols like isopropanol or drinking alcohols like vodka.

Hope this helps :)

During embryo screening, a technician tests the genetic material of the embryo to find out which alleles are present.
xxMikexx [17]

Answer:

Nucleic Acid

Explanation:

NUCLEIC ACIDS are naturally occurring chemical compounds that serve as the primary information-carrying molecules in cells and makeup the genetic material. Nucleic acids are found in abundance in all living things, where they create, encode, and then store information of every living cell of every life-form on Earth.

True or false. Is sympatric speciation, a physical barrier arises and separates two populations l, ending flow between them
timofeeve [1]

Answer;

The above statement is False

Explanation;

 • Speciation is an evolutionary process in which new species arise. There are three types of speciation, namely; sympatric, parapatric and allopatric speciation.
 • Sympatric speciation is a pattern in which speciation occurs in the absence of a physical barrier to gene flow; ex. polyploidy arising in flowers.
 • In an Allopatric speciation on the other hand, a physical barrier arises and separates two populations, ending gene flow between them and allowing reproductive isolating mechanisms to evolve so that later if the two groups come back into contact they will no longer be able to reproduce together, therefore making them different species.

WARRIOR [948]

Answer:

The Fibonacci succession is the next infinite succession of natural numbers, each Fibonacci number is the sum of the two previous to it: a hurricane, the galaxies or the roses have this pattern in nature.

Explanation:

The Fibonacci spiral: an approximation of the golden spiral generated by drawing circular arcs connecting the opposite corners of the squares adjusted to the values of the succession; successively attaching squares of side 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21 and 34.
