You can work out the concentration of H+ ions (denoted as [H+]) easily on a calculator if you know the pH, which you do. The easiest way to work out [H+] is to do 10^{-pH}. In your case, the maths here would be 10^{-3.8}, which gets you an answer of 1.58x10^{-4}, or 0.000158. For 6.2 it would be 10^{-6.2}, which gives you 6.31x10^{7}, or 0.00000063. As you can see, the concentration of H+ ions is greater in pH 3.8.

To put it simply, the [H+] decreases the higher up the pH scale you go, and increases as you go lower, but now you know the maths to work it out for yourself too.

What is the transamination reaction? What is the cofactor required for the transamination reaction?
brilliants [131]

Answer:

Transamination reaction:

Transmaination reaction may be defined as a type of chemical reaction that involves the transfer of an amino group to the another keto acid fort the formation of new amino acid. The non essential amino acid can be easily converted to essential amino acid by this transmination reaction.

This reaction is important for the important mteabolic pathways of the body. The cofactor required for the transamination reaction is pyridoxal-5'-phosphate. This cofactor also works as a derivative of vitamin B6. This cofactor is converted to pyridoxamine-5'-phosphate during the reaction.

The allele for dwarfism - D its dominant
Recessive allele -d
If the person has heterozygous alleles -Dd the person will have achrondroplastic dwarfism
However if the person if homozygous for the allele DD it’s Lethal and person can’t survive
If both parents are Dd
Dd X. Dd
Offspring DD Dd Dd dd
Probability of children who survive with the trait have the genotype Dd
Probability - 1/4 + 1/4
Probability of having surviving children with the trait -1/2 -0.5

Montano1993 [528]

Answer:

A

Explanation:

The energy carried by electromagnetic waves is sometimes referred to as radiant energy. Electromagnetic waves do not require a medium for propagation hence they can travel through vacuum and are known to transmit enormous amount of energy.

Electromagnetic waves transmit energy away from the source of the wave. Hence the answer chosen in the answer section above.

We have talked about the central and peripheral nervous systems. We know that the peripheral nervous system relays signals to an
JulsSmile [24]

Answer:

  1. The peripheral nervous system has - Somatic nervous system and Autonomic nervous system.
  2. These systems control our body action by this controls all the types of muscles.

Explanation:

  • Somatic nervous system have -  Cranial nerves and  Spinal nerves
  • Autonomic nervous system have -   Sympathetic and  Parasympathetic  system.
  • The somatic nervous system controls our voluntary and involuntary actions by cranial and spinal nerves and controls all three types of muscles such as cardiac, smooth and skeletal.
  • The autonomic nervous system controls the involuntary actions of our internal organs.
  • The sympathetic and parasympathetic system relates to all types of muscle.
  • The sympathetic and parasympathetic system accelerates and decelerates the heart beat respectively, by this controls the cardiac muscle.
  • The sympathetic and parasympathetic system stimulates and relaxes our internal organs respectively, by this controls the smooth muscles.
  • The sympathetic and parasympathetic system prepares our body as a whole for a action and also relaxes our whole body respectively, by this controls the skeletal muscles.
