Why were the military forts located in Georgia during world war 2 beneficial for the state?

Because on that period of time Georgia was a modernized state with all the weapons, ships including factories that took USA out of Depression and because Georgia is located near the seas so the soldiers from other state could come to Georgia and can be send to Europe for help and defend USA.
