Define the following terms a).hydrosphere b).biosphere
mr_godi [17]

Answer:

Biosphere -- the global ecosystem composed of biotic (living) factors and the abiotic (non-living) factors from which they derive energy and nutrients.  AKA the ecosphere, is the worldwide sum of all ecosystems (all life on earth)

Hydrosphere -- the combined mass/volume of water located either on, under, and above the surface of a planet, minor planet, or natural satellite. This water is still counted regardless of its state (ie. liquid...gas...solid) and takes form as what we see as Rivers, Lakes etc

Why are rift zones common places for igneous rock to form?
Lyrx [107]
<span>Igneous RockBelow the hard, solid lithosphere, Earth’s interior contains hot, melted rocks in liquid form. When liquid rock cools, it solidifies to become igneous rock. The lava that flows from a volcano can cool to form the igneous rock basalt. Molten material deep within Earth can form the igneous rock granite.
