I'd say that two important aspects of reading poetry aloud are A. rhythm and tone.
First of all, you need to read the poem in the appropriate rhythm - not too slow, not to fast, you have to find a balance. When it comes to tone, it also has to be appropriate - if the poem is about death, for example, you shouldn't read it in a cheerful tone.
