Benjamin Martin did not vote for South Carolina to start a militia after being summoned for a voting session called to vote for or against a levy/tax in support of the Continental Army which was the main military force of the United States when compared to other militias. Martin presents his opinion against the idea o South Carolina to start a militia pointing out that the colonies are entitled to independence, but war with Great Britain would be disastrous and bloody.

Benjamin Martin, a widower raising his seven children (five sons and two daughters), and also a  French-Indian war hero who is troubled by his past, now wants nothing more than to live peacefully on his small plantation, and wants no part of a war because he wants to protect his family. However, his two eldest sons, Gabriel and Thomas, can't wait to serve in the newly formed "Continental Army." When South Carolina decides to join the rebellion against England, Gabriel immediately signs up to fight even without his father's consent.

However, after a British Colonel Tavington threatens their welfare and kills one of his sons, he chooses to enlist.

denis23 [38]

Answer:

His popularity is due to his 'fame: famous developer, with a great fortune, he was the star of a television reality show that for a long time was shown in prime time. He feels the spirit of the time. He plays along with the displeased working class - those who are left behind in the process of transition from an industrial economy to an information one. This group has been hit hardest by trade deals of regional and internationam character, which encouraged US companies to relocate their plants to Mexico, and provided business owners who remained in the country with leverage to curb wage growth.

He promised that, as president, he will conclude trade agreements that are more favorable for workers. At first, his campaign was based on anti-immigrant sentiment.
