Anita got 4 problems wrong on a test of 36 questions. what percent of the questions did she get correct

Mathematics

4 0
The answer would be about 89%
to solve this problem first you would have to subtract 4 from 36 to get 32 because you want to know how many she got right first .
so you put 32 over 36 ( the number she got right over the total number of questions ) and n ( the number you don't know yet ) over 100 . that will be the percent .
next all you have to do is cross multiply 32 times 100 and 36n , to get 3200 and 36n .
now you have to divide 3200=36n by 36 so you get n by its self but you have to divide on both sides of the equal sign .
when you divide you will then get 88 with a lot of remainder 8's so you would just round up to 89 .
finally you know n = 89% so she got 89% of her questions right .

A landscaper is creating a rectangular flower bed such that the width is half of the length.The area of the flower that is 34 ft
Leviafan [203]
The Area is A=l * w and we know that w=\frac{l}{2}

Therefore: 34=l * \frac{l}{2} = \frac{l^{2}}{2}
68=l^{2}
\sqrt{68}=l=8.246
and thus:
w=\frac{8.246}{2}
w=4.123
round to nearest tenth:
w=4.1feet

A kite flier wondered how high her kite was flying. She used a protractor to measure an angle of 15∘ from level ground to the ki
Nataly [62]

Answer:

12.9 yd

Step-by-step explanation:

It helps if you draw a triangle. Draw a horizontal segment. That is the ground. Now at the left end start a new segment that goes up to the right at approximately 15 degrees until it its other endpoint directly above the right endpoint of the horizontal segment. Connect these two endpoints. The vertical side on the right shows the height of the kite. The hypotenuse is the string.

For the 15-deg angle, the height of the triangle is the opposite leg, and the string is the hypotenuse. The trig ratio that relates the opposite leg tot he hypotenuse is the sine.

\sin A = \dfrac{opp}{hyp}

\sin 15^\circ = \dfrac{h}{50~yd}

(50~yd)\sin 15^\circ = h

h = (50~yd)(0.2588)

h = 12.9~yd
