When x varies inversely with y then you'll have
xα1/y
x=k/y where k is the proportionality constant
when x=8. y=10. k=?
8=k/10
make k the subject of the formula
k=10×8
k=80.

When x=6. y=?.k=80
6=80/y
Make y the subject of the formula
y=80/6
y=40/3

The correct answer is 5 1/2 because if it weren’t simplified it would be 6/2 which makes the numerator the greatest.

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define</u>

Point (-10, -4)

Point (10, -29)

<u>Step 2: Find slope </u><em><u>m</u></em>

Simply plug in the 2 coordinates into the slope formula to find slope <em>m</em>

  1. Substitute [SF]:                    m=\frac{-29+4}{10+10}
  2. Add:                                     m=\frac{-25}{20}
