The cartilaginous joints are the joints which allows the movement between the bones. They are of two types that are primary cartilaginous joints and secondary cartilaginous joints.
The primary cartilaginous joints are called as synchondrosis. These joints connect the bones with a hyaline cartilage. These can be found near the ossification centers.
The secondary cartilaginous joints are called as symphysis. These joints connect the bones with hyaline and fibrocartilaginous joints. These are usually found at the midline.
The pubic symphysis is an example of secondary cartilaginous joint. The joint is located between the left and right pubic bones, present in the midline of the body. It can be found above the external genitalia.
They are both sources of energy. They are almost exactly the same however ATP-Adenosine Triphosphate has one more phosphate group than ADP-Adenosine Diphosphate.
