The answer is B: musica mundana

Explanation:

It's important to know that Boethius (full name: Anicius Manlius Severinus Boëthius) was a Roman politician (consul), poet and philosopher who lived in the 1st century AD. As a member of the school of Neoplatonism, he strongly backed the opinion that art and science are inseparable. De Musica is the name of his famous work where he introduced the first hierarchy of the music: Musica mundana, Musica humana, and Musica instrumentalis.

The period of european history known as the renaissance roughly covers the time from
faust18 [17]

Answer:

The Renaissance in Europe indicates the period of time between the 14th and 17th century.

Explanation:

The Renaissance is often viewed as the period that shifted the Middle Ages into modernity. It was a time of discovery, inventions, expansion of the mind, knowledge, and culture.

In fact, the word Renaissance literally means 'Rebirth'. This is quite an appropriate term, since the entire continent of Europe had a major shift from the darkness of the Middle Ages to a more enlightening period (which then lead to the Enlightening Age in the 18th century).

How do you define contemporary? how us it different from the tradition or modern?
Aleonysh [2.5K]

Answer:

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, the word “modern” is defined as, “of or relating to the present time.” The word “contemporary” is defined as “happening or beginning now or in recent times.” While these definitions may appear to be similar or even nearly identical, in terms of art genres, they are very incongruent.

What is ragtime? how is it related to jazz?
Kruka [31]
Ragtime is usually defined as a song that is in 2/4 time or 4/4 time people usually get it confused with 3/4 time however that is considered a ragtime waltz. Ragtime is used by taking the base line and using progressive harmonic chords that may be punch or silent while the melody is carried out through the Alto,Soprano lines as it uses syncopation which makes the song being played off beat and unexpected. It's related to jazz by the fact that Jazz itself rather replaced Ragtime due to the rising amount of bands that added a unique style to the ragtime with a 70+ BPM and usually included it in many records.
