how does the existence of a site like catus hill demonstrate the challenge that archaeologist face when making theories?

History

Conclusions of archeologists were based on artifacts found over a large area. Exact dates cannot always be determined, and scientists don't always agree on the data provided by the evidence. New discoveries may contradict theories that have already been accepted.

Cactus Hill site has human remains that have been dated to about 20,000 years ago. Due to its location in Virginia proves that human beings had arrived in America earlier than this. That data contradicts the theory that claims that humans reached America from Siberia through the modern day Bring Strait.

The Cactus Hill Archaeological Site is located on a wind-deposited terrace of the Nottoway River in Sussex County.

why do you think this leap back to a distant past was so attractive to thinkers growing up in italy in the 14th and 15th centuri
kkurt [141]

Answer:

During the 14th and 15th centuries in Italy, a new artistic and philosophical movement emerged: the Reinaissance. This movement was opposed to many of the norms of the Medieval Era, and took after Classical Antiquity instead.

To Italian thinkers and artists of the time, taking a leap back to Classical Antiquity was attractive because Italy itself had been for centuries, the center of the Mediterranean word as the main province of the Roman Empire. These thinkers felt that the cultural achivements of the Classical Era were superior to those of the Medeival Era.
