Answer:

The Emancipation Proclamation was an executive order issued by Abraham Lincoln on January 1, 1863. It proclaimed the freedom of slaves in the ten Confederate states still in rebellion. It also decreed that freed slaves could be enlisted in the Union Army, thereby increasing the Union's available manpower.

Explanation:

The Emancipation Proclamation, implemented by President Abe Lincoln, took effective as of January 1, 1863. Lincoln's decision to use this proclamation came after the Union troops stopped the further invasion of the North by the Confederate troops.

IgorC [24]

Rome had an ideal seaport.

Rome was built on seven hills, which offered natural protection from invaders.

The climate of Rome was good for growing a variety of crops.

Answer: Options 1, 2 and 3.

Explanation:

For a city to develop, certain factors are to be kept n mind before the city develops. It includes easy accessibility to the people of that city with other cities either through land or through sea. It should not be very easily invaded by invaders.

Moreover the climate of the city should be appropriate for growing crops and doing agriculture in the city so that the farmers can grow food for other people. All these things were available in Rome, therefore making it a good site for a city.

A ball is projected at an angle of 45° so as to pass a wall at a distance x1 from the point of
Artemon [7]

Answer:

My Take on this

The height of the wall can be related with the Horizontal distance traveled by the equation of the trajectory

y=xtan∆ - gx²(1+tan²∆)/(2u²)

The wall is at distance x1

So thats the horizontal distance we'll use... We need to find its corresponding vertical distance "y"

So

Applying the formula

∆=45°

x=x1

g=9.8ms-²

u=velocity of projection

Substituting

y= x1tan45 - 9.8x1²[1+(tan²45)]/2u²

tan45°=1

y= x1 -4.9x²(1 +1)/u

y= x1 - 4.9x²•2/u²

y= x1 - 9.8x²/u².
