Answer:

The event that has caused the trauma is still effecting the college student

Explanation:

"The event that has caused the trauma is still affecting the college student". This statement depicts that it is the problem of posttraumatic stress disorder. Posttraumatic stress disorder is a problem associated with people who have witnessed any traumatic event and are so affected by it that the shock is continuing even after the end of event and also affecting her day to day life.

Which of the following explains why water is a good solvent for polar and ionic compounds?
Anni [7]

Hi there!

Electronegativity is the concept of how likely an atom is to attract the shared molecules in one of these bonds to itself. We know the molecule water is made up of two hydrogens and one oxygen. The electronegativity of hydrogen is 2.2, and oxygen 3.4. An ionic bond needs at least a difference in electronegativity of 1.6. As the difference is less than that, we can say that water is a covalent molecule. This then wipes out choice B, because it is not ionic, and C, as we have seen it is actually covalent.

Now, we can see the difference in electronegativity between oxygen and hydrogen is still 1.2. This means that while it is not at the point for there to be an ionic bond, there is still a difference in attraction, where the electrons will tend to favor the oxygen more and 'hang around it' more. As electrons are negatively charged, this means that the oxygen will gain a slightly negative charge. This then makes the molecule polar, because it now has a charge within the molecule. This means we have our answer, choice D.

In terms of hydrophobic molecules - they tend to be ones without a charge. (If you're interested in this kind of stuff, I'd search hydrophobic up, and possibly also look into hydrogen bonds).

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask me any other questions you have about this specific problem.

Which circuit carries blood from the right ventricle to the lungs for gas exchange and returns it to the left atrium of the hear
ElenaW [278]

Answer:

Pulmonary circuit

Explanation:

Pulmonary circuit of blood circulation serves to carry the deoxygenated blood from the right ventricle of the heart to the lungs and then returns the oxygenated blood from the lungs to the left atrium of the heart. The pulmonary trunk carries the deoxygenated blood from the right ventricle to the lungs.

The right pulmonary artery and the left pulmonary artery of the pulmonary trunk carry the blood to the right and left lung respectively. After the gaseous exchange, the pulmonary capillaries unite to form venules and finally the pulmonary veins which in turn carry the oxygenated blood to the left atrium.

How phylogeny provides reliable information about evolution of life on Earth?
Y_Kistochka [10]
Phylogeny has to do with the history of the evolution of a species or a group, usually represented in the form of a phylogenetic tree. Since it studies evolution, it is only natural it could give us some kind of reliable information about the existence of life on Earth and how it all came to be.
