The Inheritors was a play written by Susan Glaspell, she is an American dramatist and Journalist. The first time the Inheritors was performed was in 1921. It is a play for defending people´s ideals, in which individuals could fight against his or her human’s rights, especially particular free speech. This play evokes about the significant of being an American. However, the most relevant part of this story is when Madeline fight against the freedom of Hindu people, and explained that women also can fight against the injustice and everyday violation in order to preserve and defend life, liberty and pursuit of happiness
