The correct answer is A) civilization in each region developed advanced math, science, and engineering.

A similarity between classical Mesoamerican and South American civilization is that civilization in each region developed advanced math, science, and engineering.

Civilizations in Mesoamerica were very advanced to their times and it is shown in culture, engineering, math, and science. For instance, the Aztecs built huge pyramids to hold their religious ceremonies. The emperors live in great palaces and the city of Tenochtitlan, the capital of the Aztec empire was divided by modern water channels, an example of engineering for that time. On the other hand, the Mayans were expert astronomers that built complex observatories to study the stars. In South America, the Incas built Macchu Pichu up in the mountains and had irrigation systems to grow crops.

While today it might sound astonishing, most of these top taxpayers not only paid happily, but boasted about how much they paid.
